End up getting the genuine leather as I was impressed by the quality of the product, especially the lumbar support which was the icing on the cake. Price wise Royale is competitive as you hardly find any other competitors offering genuine leather at that price range.

Chair eventually arrived assembled and was nicely wrapped up with a proper cover and wheel covers to ensure that it was in a pristine condition.

After assessing... read moreWhen I was in the market for a new chair, the big players were obviously at the forefront. After assessing all the options and trawling through countless forums, I am so glad that I did not go with the mainstream brands and went with Royale instead.

My Chair: Italian NAPPA Leather. Dark Grey Base with Black Sides. Black Stitching. Front Graphic Logo (Bulldog) with Back Chinese Character in Black and Name in Gold. Topped up extra to wrap my armrests in matching Dark Grey NAPPA leather as well.

Touching Base: I first reached out to Royale via Telegram and got put in touch with one of the owners Koon Leng. I appreciated this for two reasons, 1. it was on an easy to assess platform (telegram). I hear they are also incredibly responsive on their social media platforms. 2. I was speaking with the owner of the brand, he knows his stuff.

The Purchase: Koon Leng never once pressured me to buy the chair or pick the highest end material. He was patient in explaining to me all the options and their benefits. A big USP for Royale is obviously the customisation and I was so blown away at the different possibilities from a Primary, Secondary and Tertiary colour to even the colour of the stitching. You can also embroider your very own graphic on the front and back of the chair to really make it your own. With all these in mind, I was pretty much sold that this tops any other offerings out there in the market.

The Wait: I waited 1.5 months for my chair. Along the entire process, Koon Leng was responsive to every single query that I had and was very timely in updating me on the progress of my chair. The old saying goes that good things come to those who wait and I think it holds very true here.

The Arrival: The chair did arrive by surprise one day before I was expecting it but thankfully someone was home to receive it. A big plus is that the chair comes assembled so that means no fumbling with parts and I guess that highlights that every chair is customised for you and isn't just a mass produced piece. The chair came wrap in a cloth dust cover which I thought was really classy as well as wheel castor covers to ensure that your chair reaches your home perfectly new.

The Chair: The build quality of this chair is excellent. The leather feels premium and the stitching is precise and incredibly secure. The embroidered graphics and names are clear and true to its original colour. The seat feels firm but not too hard and the additional lumbar support pillow tops things off to make the entire seating experience a comfortable one. The hydraulic mechanisms are smooth and the wheels roll around my room like butter. The leather wrapped arm rests to me is a premium top up worth investing in cause it gives your arm rests that little bit more cushion.

Overall: I am incredibly pleased with my entire experience with Royale. From the purchase to the product, everything has surpassed my expectation. This is a company that offers so much more than the other players out there and is going to go very far and it's almost an injustice that so many people don't know about them yet. This is why I am doing such a long and thorough review (not sponsored though i wish it was hahah) because this is something worth sharing and talking about.

Definitely beats spending more to replace the whole chair when you can just refurbish your old chair with better quality material and at a cheaper price offered by the original company.

Chair came as promised.. Except it was missing handles to adjust the height and tilt of the chair, and that it was delayed twice without any notification from the seller themselves. No response from Royale side unless I prompt them on my own, honestly am not sure if this is considered good customer service at all. I have to chase for updates when they could have easily let me know that the chair will be delayed, and even the delivering of additional parts were not done unless I, once again, prompt them myself.
Notification only came in the form of asking for reviews which I didn't mind sharing, but I find it hard to recommend to others with the customer service that I faced. Chair's great I suppose. read less
